Ramsey CentenoLocal Guide · 38 reviews · 10 photosRated 5 out of 5 stars

I am extremely grateful to Jennifer Bade, Melissa, and the entire team for their outstanding professionalism and dedication in representing my family member. From the very beginning, they conducted a thorough consultation, carefully evaluated the case, and clearly explained all available options.

Throughout the process, the team ensured that I fully understood each step and encouraged a collaborative, team-based approach. They guided me on what documentation was needed and worked closely with me to prepare the case, which made a very stressful situation feel organized and manageable.

The firm successfully advocated for my family member by securing a bond hearing, adjusting court dates when necessary, and providing strong representation throughout. Their persistence, preparation, and commitment ultimately led to my family member’s release, for which we are deeply thankful.

I was more than satisfied with their representation and truly appreciated their transparency, communication, and advocacy. I would confidently recommend this firm to anyone seeking immigration legal representation.

Bade Law Group were incredible every step of the way for our immigration case. Extremely transparent, quick same-day responses to questions by email and phone. Jennifer Bade and the entire team took the daunting task of the mountain of paperwork and streamlined things to make the application process straightforward and easy for our busy family.

At the end, for our interview, in a state thousands of miles from her office, Jennifer Bade managed to defy odds — including several delayed flights due to the government shutdown and ATC staffing reductions — and flew across the country to be with our family to represent us at our USCIS interview. The level of personalized service, hard work, and dedication to her clients is unparalleled. No matter where you live, if you need an immigration attorney — hire Jennifer C. Bade, Esq.

Jennifer is the best. She’s knowledgeable, professional and passionate. During our hearings, I felt supported and confident having her and her team by my side. I was very happy with how they represented me. Thank you so much!

What is an Adjustment of Status?

When someone present in the United States on a temporary permit (visa) wants to become a lawful permanent resident of the United States (green card holder), an adjustment of status needs to be filed with USCIS. Following the guidelines of the adjustment of status can allow a transition from a temporary allowance in the United States to permanent residency through a green card. Adjustment of status allows you to file from inside the United States, without having to return to your home country for visa processing. If you are outside of the United States, you must file for residency using a different method, called Consular Processing.

At Bade Law Group, our lawyers have the knowledge and required licenses to help immigrants achieve a legal status allowing them to reside and work in a specific country, city, or region while enjoying the benefits of being a citizen or legal resident of that location.

Types of Adjustments to Immigration Status

Immigration status (while residing in the United States) can be adjusted using 2 separate forms:

Form I-485

Form I-485 is the most commonly used form for adjusting immigration status. Those eligible for a green card under this form vary depending on the type of visa held. Eligible visa categories:

  • Family
  • Employment
  • Special Immigrant
  • Refugee or Asylee
  • Human Trafficking or Crime Victims
  • Victims of Abuse
  • Or have resided in the United States since before January 1st, 1972

Form 245(i)

You may be eligible for a green card under Form 245(i) if:

  • You are the beneficiary of Form I-130 or I-140, or an application for labor certification (Form ETA-750) filed on or before April 30, 2001.
  • You were present in the United States on Dec. 21, 2000, are the principal beneficiary, and the petition was filed between Jan. 15, 1998, and April 30, 2001.
  • You are currently the beneficiary of a qualifying immigrant petition through which you are grandfathered, or through a subsequently filed immigrant petition or application for labor certification.
  • You properly filed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and Form I-485 Supplement A.
  • You are present in the United States at the time of filing Form I-485 and Supplement A.
  • You have a visa immediately available to you.
  • You have admissibility to the United States or are eligible for a waiver of inadmissibility.

How Does it Work?

Our legal staff at Bade Law Group guides green card applicants through this complex process, working on our clients’ behalf to meet the requirements set by the United States Department of Justice.

Our lawyers handle various categories of green cards to help clients address a range of situations involving family relationships and special circumstances. We provide guidance on eligibility criteria and help clients navigate potential obstacles, including those related to domestic violence cases.

Our firm’s services for Green Card applicants include:

  • Eligibility assessment
  • Application preparation and filing
  • Document gathering and organization
  • Interview preparation
  • Appeal representation if needed

Bade Law Group offers comprehensive support throughout the Green Card application process. This includes assistance with document preparation, representation during interviews, and guidance on fee structures.

In cases where a Green Card application is denied, our attorneys are prepared to file an appeal. We work diligently to address any issues raised by immigration authorities and present a strong case for reconsideration.

Many immigration lawyers will take your money and then tell you it’s not possible to fix your papers. You can spend thousands of dollars and lose many years without seeing any results, and risk having to leave the country and never come back.

If you:

  • Entered the country illegally
  • Have worked with unlicensed lawyers
  • Lawyers have told you to leave the country
  • Have been arrested before
  • Have been deported before

You could still get a work permit, driver’s license, social security card, and US residency — but you need a lawyer who understands special aspects of immigration law and will fight for you.
